My take on the V Mag 'One Size Fits All' Issue

So I have been noticing that there's been a lot of talk about the V Mag issue featuring Crystal Renn and her thinner counterpart Jacquelyn Jablonski. I was pretty happy to see a "plus sized" model next to the very thin model standing next to her. I think Crystal Renn looks beautiful and much better than the size zero model in each and every picture:

Here's my only problem with the pictures: it really appears as if they seriously photoshopped weight off of Crystal Renn. I could be wrong but I was browsing through other shots of her online and found this pretty recent shot of her from Glamour Magazine:

That's quite a noticeable difference in size. So my question is, what is the point then? If the average sized model (Crystal Renn) is photoshopped to look still thinner, the message that being beautiful at any size is completely lost. Just my opinion.

  2. Good points doll. I too am biased and think Renn looks far better than the thinner model. However, they both did a great job and the speard it self is, stunning. After veiwing the photos one kept popping up for me...when are am I going to see more?

PS. Thank you for posting a untouched picture of Renn, the difference is noticeable.

    Keep thriving Doll,

  3. Thanks! I agree, she did look a lot better than the thinner model, and would have still had they not retouched the photo :)

  4. Actually, they didn't photoshop the weight off, I think. Crystal Renn has lost weight since that shoot the last pic is from, she used to be a 12 but she's now a 8.
