Ten Procedures In One Day......
This has nothing to do with fashion buuuuttttt......I was reading through People Magazine earlier and just couldn't resist posting because I would just love to hear your comments...
23 year old Heidi Montag recently has 10 plastic surgery procedures done in one day. Here is the list of procedures done:
1. Mini Brow Lift
2. Botox in forehead and frown area
3. Nose job revision
4. Fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips
5. Chin reduction
6. Neck liposuction
7. Ears pinned back
8. Breast augmentation revision
9. Liposuction on waist, hips and inner and outer thighs
10.Buttock augmentation
Here is the before and after picture (property of People Magazine):
Ahhhh, Hollywood...Although it does make me sad that such a young lady went to this extreme to feel perfect, it is ultimately her body and her choice so who am I to judge? However, it just makes me have all the more respect and admiration for those who have imperfections and choose to live with them and love themselves all the more.
I, myself, have nothing against plastic surgery or procedures. I think it really is a personal choice. I have had three children, (along with three c-sections), and had contemplated a tummy tuck to correct it for a long time. But in the end, I chose to accept it and deal with it because it's just not worth the pain or the money to me personally. I do have friends that would strongly disagree and would never live with a post baby body.
So I'd love to hear your input on this. What do you think? All input is welcome :)

OH MY WORD! wowzers! So sad for her that she didn't see beauty in herself before she went and had 10 surgeries in ONE FREAKIN DAY! That is so sad. I mean, I know they say you can fix what you are uncomfortable with. OK, I can see a nose job or perhaps a tummy tuck or lipo, but seriously, surgeries are just cosmetic fixes for those who seek perfection. It's moreso a mental thing and I think that's the part they don't understand. I've contemplated lipo, but I also know that I can lose weight by changing my eating habits and exercising daily. Why so extreme?
ReplyDeleteAgreed, it is mental and I think it can be a great way to fix something that you're really uncomfortable with but yeah, 10 surgeries in one day, don't even want to imagine the pain...
ReplyDelete10 surgeries in a day and she ends up looking worse off, dear lord! After seeing my friend after she'd had a nose job I hate to think what pain she was going through and how bruised up she must have been! I can't imagine how low her self esteem must be to think that she needed to completely change her appearance. I actually have a pro stance on plastic/cosmetic surgery as I have friends who have had it and I'm considering going under the knife in the future, but I think to alter yourself to such a degree is quite frankly scary.
ReplyDeleteI remember once reading a blog written by a man and he said that he was afraid to see what some of these starlets (he used Paris Hilton as his example) would look like without the botox, veneers, extensions, nose jobs and boob jobs. But then again, I'm not a ray of sunshine when I wake up in the morning before I throw on some make up and straighten my hair either! haha :)
ReplyDeletei read about this somewhere before. i think this is sad. she is already beautiful. i honestly love the way she looks before the surgeries. oh well, that's her body. =)

I think that girl needs some serious help. I actually feel bad for her. I'm surprise no one cared enough to tell her that she didnt need it :(

Goodness, I think she looks hot and amazing in the first picture. The second, not so much. It's such a shame that such a pretty and young woman feels the need to be "perfect," when in my eyes she was before.
ReplyDeleteShe looks SO MUCH OLDER in the second photo that it's ridiculous. Her surgery aged her tremendously.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I think she looks older in the after picture too.
